This video shows both sides of Pascagoula Street. This property has now been neglected for several years, and Revitalize MS is now donating its cleanup and demolition services to help rejuvenate this community.
Revitalize Mississippi (with encouragement from Working Together Jackson) donated its free lot cleanup and demolition services to the Jackson State University Development Foundation.
This project started in February, 2017 and was completed in July. This included demolition of a large apartment complex, a large nightclub building, a taxi stand, and 20 dilapidated houses, plus cleanup of 22 overgrown lots where illegal dumping had occurred.
The JSU Development Foundation will maintain the property as a "green space” until future plans for development materialize.
